Tennis Facilities
The beautiful tennis facilities at Hillcrest include five outdoor courts and three indoor courts. While members are free to come and play at their leisure, our local tennis pro, Pat Ritchie, also offers a number of clinics and one-on-one lessons. Particularly popular are Pat’s afternoon grade school clinic and Wednesday morning ladies drop-in clinic. Clinics are also offered for junior high (Wednesdays and Fridays) and high school (Tuesday and Thursday) age students.
Though we strive first and foremost to provide for the playing needs of our members, we would not be fulfilling our entire purpose if we did not provide for their social needs as well. To this effort, we host regular social events and championships that bring our tennis players together and allow them to mingle with and get to know one another. Annual tournaments are held for men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles and junior tennis students. Ever popular are our mixed doubles sessions, Ladies’ Playday and Social and intermittent wine and cheese socials.
On site, Hillcrest maintains a tennis pro shop, providing members with their essential equipment needs. In addition to a variety of tennis balls, raquets and playing accessories, the store also offers a wide selection of both men’s and women’s apparel. Hillcrest offers all popular tennis brands including: Babolat, Head, Wilson, Lily and Prince.
